Emma Hanging Like the Monkey She is!

Hi All,

Summer is here!! We are packing, painting and trying to enjoy the free time that we have. Alex, Emma, and I were at Doug and Katie's house yesterday. I got to paint their guest room for them. The color choice was great. The girls got to spend the day with Katie and Hans!! Emma LOVES Hans. And, of course, Katie. Alex got to play with all of Katie's American Girls stuff. And she picked up all the stuff before we left. Good job, Alex. For dinner we were invited over to Jeff and Mary's house for burgers (they are Katie's lovely parents). It was so fun. Alex thought their house was so cool. They have a hammock that they girls really enjoyed laying in. It was hard to leave but it was a Wednesday night so we had to let them go to bed.

Alex is in summer school: reader's theater and art is fun. She really likes them. It is from Monday to Thursday until the end of July.

Emma is walking and talking a little. She scoots around everywhere.

Our family is growing (not our immediate family but extended family!):
My cousin, Renee and her husband, Joel had a baby girl!! (Congrats!!)
My cousin, Andrew is getting married to Vicky on June 26th!! (We are very excited!)
My friends, Andrea and Troy just had a baby boy, Garrett. (We got to meet him last Friday!!)
Doug and Katie got a dog early this year. His name is Hans and he is a German Shepherd. He is a really good puppy.

Nick is working full-time at Cedarburg Science. The company is an environmental consulting company. They are busy!! Praise God, he got a job in this economy! He has been put in charge of the DOT contracts that the company is just starting to get into. This is new for the company and for him. So it is a lot of work and stress. But Nick is handling it well. He just visited Evonne and Victor out in Portland, OR over Memorial Day weekend. He had a wonderful time and fell in love with the area. Troy and his girlfriend, Bree (I am not sure how she spells it) were in Portland also. So Nick got see them also.

Well, I better get back to packing and cleaning. Anyone interested in coming over and playing with the girls or helping pack, paint, or clean are welcome over anytime!!

Love you all!
Erin :)
